The Ladies of the Camellias Poster

The Off Broadway West Theatre Company asked me to create a poster for their production of The Ladies of the Camellias, a farcical play about an imagined meeting in Paris, 1897, between the famous theater divas Sarah Bernhardt and Eleonora Duse. I used Alphonse Mucha's, La Dame aux Camelias poster as inspiration for the design. The owners of OBW told me it was a challenge marketing the play because people kept stealing the posters as souvenirs.
